Cigale Shiraz 2004

Cigale Shiraz 2004

Red
BN#167234

Vibrant, Deep Garnet with blue hues. Vivid, sweet and intense, the nose displays aromas of blackberries, chocolate, exotic spices, and black cherries. Intense dark berry fruits, tar, chocolate, plums and black cherries with a hint of spiciness contributed by subtle oak influence. A structured wine, with abundant fruit and hints of spice, tar and leather. Whilst quite assertive the tannins are ripe and fine textured. Enjoy now for its lively fruit or over the next 5 years as it mellows and gains earthy complexity.

Wine Spectator Dark and spicy, with a bright core of blackberry and currant fruit, shaded with licorice and hints of black pepper, finishing with both density and grace. Drink now through 2012. 200 cases made Score: 90. —Harvey Steiman, May 15, 2006.

Wine Enthusiast Soft in the middle with a tangy oak shell, this Shiraz offers up plenty of cushiony plum fruit and an easy feel. But itÍs not a simple wine„there are enough oak shadings here to give it some complexity. Score: 88. —Daryna Tobey, August 01, 2006.
