A seductive wine showing a lot of burgundy...traditional. Primary red berry flavours, spicy white sage overtones, earthy and satiny texture. Elegant, yet rich sweet berry, red liquorice and underlying black cherry extract. A wine that will reward cellaring. James Halliday Complex, rich, foresty/savoury overtones to plum fruit; strong structure; radical style difference to the Valley Farm. Score: 94. Wine Enthusiast This Pinot is texturally very interesting, its robust, wooly tannins well obscuring the cherry and cola flavors underneath. That will change in the short term, I expect; a more integrated wine would lead to an even more favorable review. 283 cases produced. Score: 89. —Daryna Tobey, December 01, 2005.
