Temple Bruer Shiraz Malbec 2002

Temple Bruer Shiraz Malbec 2002

Red Organic
BN#167266

This full-bodied style vintaged from Shiraz and Malbec fruit (67% and 33% respectively), was grown in the Temple Bruer vineyard, which is certified organic by the Organic Vignerons Association of Australia (BFA). Warm cherry and blackberry fruit aromas are enhanced by soft vanilla & cinammon characters on the nose, whilst open fermentation and maturation in American oak casks has imparted further complexity to the wine. The palate is big and full, yet soft with many attractive flavours, from wild berries, cherries, vanilla & coconut to earthy characters . . . a captivating wine of great finesse and complexity, with long-term cellaring potential. This wine was not cold stabilised and may develop a crust on ageing. It will complement full flavoured red meat dishes or game.

James Halliday Retains purple hue; plum, mulberry, herb and spice aromas; strongly structured; nice touch of sweet oak; ripe tannins. Score: 93.
