Made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot grapes (81% and 19% respectively) grown organically in the Temple Bruer vineyard, this wine displays classic minty Cabernet notes, with hints of red berries, spice and cigar-box. The palate is long and firm, yet supple, with sweet fruit flavours evident. Try it with duck, game or other full-flavoured dishes. The wine was not cold stabilised and may develop a crust on ageing. James Halliday Very powerful, very intense black fruits and cigar box; despite the power, has great line and flow; Petit Verdot contribution obvious; very good tannins. High-quality cork. Score: 94. Wine Enthusiast This is an interesting, pleasing blend of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon and 19% Petit Verdot, organically grown in Langhorne Creek. I like how unusual its characteristics areÑaromas of menthol and blackberry, and flavors of clove, cinnamon and black plums. Altogether it is a harmonious, medium-bodied wine worth a look. Score: 89. —Daryna Tobey, May 01, 2005.
