The 2004 Gewurztraminer will not disappoint its many devotees, delicate perfumed, rich and weighty on the palate with a gentle acid finish. Alive on the nose and in the mouth with tropical fruits lychee and rambutan, exotic spices cloves and nutmeg and just that hint of rose water. Full and opulent on the palate with a nice balance of gentle acidity and residual fruit sweetness (11.5g/l). My favourite wine served as an aperitif with sharp cheeses like Edam and Gouda. Wine Spectator Bright and spicy, with more pepper, nutmeg and clove character than fruit, but there's a nice balance of grapefruit flavor as the finish persists. Drink now. 100 cases imported.
