The 2005 Gewurztraminer will not disappoint its many devotees - delicately perfumed, rich in flavours and weighty on the palate with a gentle acid finish. Alive on the nose and in the mouth with tropical fruits – lychee and rambutan, exotic spices – cloves and nutmeg, and just that hint of rose water. Full and opulent on the palate with a nice balance of gentle acidity and residual fruit sweetness (11.5g/l). My favourite wine served as an aperitif with sharp cheeses like Edam and Gouda.
