A sensual wine that is focused, elegant and complex. Sweet cherry and wild berry aromas progressing to a palate of crunchy red raspberry and cranberry, finishing with zesty mouth watering acidity and vanilla/cedar velvet tannins. The Valley Farm is fruit forward, avoiding the current Pinot phenomenon of excessive oak, alcohol and extraction just Pinot-speaking-Pinot. Wine Advocate Bright, clear colour; slightly more festy notes to the aroma, through the structure is similar, fresh, crisp and direct. Score: 93. October 31, 2007. Wine & Spirits Transparent rose-petal red in color, this wine is blunt at first, then its pinot noir chartacter blossoms in the finish. It's denser than traditional styles of pinot, but still airy and delicate in the end. For roast marrow bones. Score: 90.
