Schild Estate Ben Schild Reserve Shiraz 2005

Schild Estate Ben Schild Reserve Shiraz 2005

Red
BN#223044

Colour: Deep ruby red

Bouquet: Complex essences of delicious dark berry fruits, dark chocolate and spice

Palate: A package of dark berry fruits, dark chocolate and spice, complimented by a combination of predominantly American oak, whilst complexity is added through the use of French and Hungarian oak. An extremely powerful and rewarding wine with huge flavours and tannin finesse.

Wine Spectator Offers a velvety texture, a smoky flavor and just enough juicy blackberry fruit to stay balanced, finishing with fine tannins and a welcome savory edge. A graceful style that keeps its cards close to the vest. Needs time to develop. Best from 2009 through 2015. Score: 91. —Harvey Steiman, August 31, 2007.

Wine Enthusiast ...Blackberry fruit dominates the aromas, framed by vanilla and just a bit of dill. Folds in plenty of earthy complexity on the palate, plus hints of cola and coffee, making this more than a simple fruit-and-oak confection. Score: 90. November 01, 2007.
