Minerally, almost salty in character the Estate Dry Riesling expresses the stoney riverbed gravels in which the wines are grown – its terroir! An attractive, austere dry wine in the mouth, concentrated with very good length of lime, apple and turpentine flavours. The mineral character of the wine is an integral part of its appeal “steely” it carries the wine on the palate. From our knowledge of earlier vintages this wine will age slowly and as it does will mellow and begin to show those lovely riesling secondary aromatic characters.
